Since 2005 COMPASS has provided an integrated continuum of services for families, all under one roof.  COMPASS Services include:

• Custom Family Action Plan
• Special Education Advocacy
  
• Counseling and Therapy
• Family Guidance
  

COMPASS services are:

• A low-cost, innovative approach to supporting families by bringing resources together in one location.
• A process that incorporates a variety of services, according to a family’s specific needs.
• A comprehensive approach to assist families to cope more effectively with the challenges and needs unique to having a child with a disability.
• Services provided by interns under supervision as well as licensed professionals.

COMPASS also partners with local community resources by collaborating with and referring our families to over thirty organizations in San Diego County. COMPASS offers services in central San Diego (Mission Valley).

Eligibility
COMPASS works with families caring for children and adults with a wide range of disabilities, across the lifespan, from birth to adults and of all income levels and needs. We define special needs broadly to include developmental and physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, learning differences and mental health needs. This includes diagnoses like autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, bipolar disorder and ADHD. There are no specific eligibility requirements.

Cost
COMPASS offers services on a sliding fee scale based on income. Our staff will work with you to determine the cost for services. Initial consultations are provided for a flat-fee of $40.
